From Cairns Airport (or City) simply follow the Captain Cook Highway* north to Port Douglas - approx. 65 Kilometres. Take the Port Douglas turn off and follow Port Douglas Road to the Macrossan Street T-junction (main street in Port Douglas). Take a right there (following the sign to the beach) and you will see ARCHIPELAGO after some 80 metres on your left side, second building back from Four Mile Beach (72 Macrossan Street).

* Beware that this road between Cairns and Port Douglas, albeit very scenic, is very winding and sometimes narrow, requiring the driver's full attention. Especially at night!

Upon arrival the chauffeurs will met you in the arrivals lounge, displaying a sign with your name.  After luggage collection they'll drive you right to our door. Travelling time is a little over one hour.

Additionally there are luxury Limousine and Helicopter Services to reach Port Douglas quickly and comfortably. Prices for these services are on request.

The coastal ribbon road between Cairns and Port Douglas, meandering most of the way along glittering beaches, through leafy tunnels of emerald green and breath taking look-outs, is one of the most scenic and spectacular ocean roads, that Australia has to offer. You will find this drive a most enjoyable introduction to the magical splendours of Tropical North Queensland.

HOW TO BOOK TRANSFERS

Before we can organise your Transfers we need your help. It is absolutely essential to receive your complete credit card details (MasterCard / VISA / AMEX, number, expiry date and security number; next to your signature) as well as your full flight details (Airline, Flight Number and Time of Arrival at Cairns) at the latest 72 hours prior travelling. You can send this information conveniently via our secure web-site Booking Page. Either together with your Room Booking or separately if you have already booked your accommodation. If you have made your Room Booking through another source (travel agency website, last minute booking site, etc), please advise which one in the 'Your Requirement' box. The fare is presently AUD $30.00 per person, one way, payable at our Reception Desk upon checking-in. Fares are non-refundable if transfers are cancelled or a no-show situation has become applicable.

It is worthy of note that, once in Port Douglas, you will hardly need a vehicle. Particularly not when staying at ARCHIPELAGO. Our location is perfect! Fabulous Four Mile Beach is only 50 metres (yards) in one direction. And due to the peninsula-like location, the centre of the village, with all it's gourmet restaurants, funky bars, stylish cafes and chic boutiques, are all at your finger tips, within a 5 to 10 minute stroll in the opposite direction. However, if desired, all types of cars, bikes, scooters, etc., are available right here for you to hire. For a day or as long as you wish.
