Orchestration of major rail infrastructure in the urban realm

Station buildings are important pieces of civic infrastructure which balance connectivity, accessibility, convenience and experience with practical implications of noise, congestion and commercial realities.  Beyond the place-making opportunities and technical resolution, transport infrastructure plays an important part in the way people interface with the city.

Archipelago led the architecture and urban design of the Loganlea station relocation and 400 space Park n Ride facility business case as a subconsultant to Aurecon for the Department of Transport and Main Roads.

The business case considers the greater urban realm impacts and opportunities of the station relocation including improved interface with the Logan Hospital expansion, integration with the TAFE and school and positive placemaking for the community.
